I have to get down to 175 from 195 in order not to be considered overweight.
I am well within the acceptable limits, but overweight....that hurt...lol

I'm glad you guys are finding some useful information here, that's why I'm posting too because I read alot of these to help me decide on PRIME.
As far as the BMI, the requirements are posted on PRIMES website. The story here is that they just started the no tolerance policy, so if your not within the limits they won't hire you. When you contact your recruiter you can give them your height and weight also and they will tell you if your within the range or not.
Today we lost three more students. One did not disclose information that he thougth would disqualify him, from what I understand it wouldn't have but since he didn't disclose it and it was discovered that showed his integrity. My advise is disclose everything! They told us the first day that they will find out so you should write it down now. I'm not sure exactly what the other two were for right now but if I find out I'll let you know so you don't run into those problems.
Like I said before, the staff here has been great. Even though I'm not an official driver, you couldn't tell. They treat us all very well and make sure we are taken care of (within reason) I just don't have any complaints to put down really. Your gonna get some A#s time in the chair during class times, but it has to be done.....Today was another class filled day and tomorrow we are going to the pad to do some driving.....I'll update after that, LATERDirtySideDown, snakeskin, Fooman and 1 other person Thank this. -
I am well within as well, but considered overweight according to the chart.
The problem with those BMI calculators is that they don't allow for things like broad shoulders, and muscle weight. Muscle weighs much more than fat.
I am not saying I'm all muscle... I've definitely got a little fat. -
I took my written test today and passed with flying colors. Also got all of the endorsements. Just have to get the background test for the Hazmat.
I am glad that part is over.JustSonny Thanks this. -

They also dont consider being "big boned". Thats what my mom always called me, but maybe she was just being nice. -

If it helps, I'm 5'11 and 215....that's a good spare tire round the mid and I made it thru....It's funny that they disqualified the two from our class who were big guys, but walking around the PRIME facility I have seen some HUGE guys. Don't make much sense to me, but I'm just a grunt.
On Friday, we met for our last couple classes and were scheduled to go to the pad and begin some driving execises in actual trucks instead of the simulator. That got cancelled so we were on our own for about 6 hours. Then we met again at 330 where they could match some students up with driver/trainers. Only 3 out of 15 got paired up with drivers, and there are still 5 students here from last weeks class. There's a little back log of students here now, and they are beginning another class on Sunday this weekend? I was informed that I could be here throughout Thanksgiving till next week sometime waiting on a driver? I'm not upset bout it cause they still feed us plus I'm getting the $200 advance, which I haven't needed yet, so I guess I'll just hang out for a week. They did tell me that if I had some family that wanted to come up they could stay with me since I'm in a single room, but the nearest person in my family is in New Mexico. If you live close enough they will even let you return home for the weekend.
This morning we are suppose to meet on the pad and so some driving. We have to have four hours of backing and driving before allowed to go out with a trainer. It's gonna be a long week since we've got our classes out of the way and just waiting on a trainer, but it'll be worth it. I'll let yall know if anything exciting comes up....LATERJustSonny and DirtySideDown Thank this. -
Thanks again, Amhasad!

Current drivers are "granfathered" in on the BMI deal.
