Starting my own business but different?

    I've seen alot of advice on how to become an owner operator. But what if you wanted to become a person who contracts the work to an owner operator.

    I want to start a business that contracts the work out to owner operators.

    My plan is to get the business from frieght brokers. Now my only question is, why would a owner operator ever work for me, if Im getting contracts from the same place he could get them from....online or agecies he would just have to call.

    What would be my point, I would just be a middle man.

    How do companies contract owner operators, I have heard about doing this.

    I suppose you are talking about Freight Brokering, you will need your own authority and permits to do so dotauthority can help. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but if freight on those boards don't pay jack and they don't after the orginal brokers cut (which is bigger than it should be). Now take your cut out and that probably leave enough for the driver to pay for fuel let alone make a small profit. Good luck to you if you can make it work for you and the driver that will haul for you.
