I can't really tell much about what happened behind the scenes, I just do my job and don't really have much of a mind to think about business and management, but it looks like a case of over-expanding relative to the market. They had gotten a load of trucks for California after the pandemic wound down, expecting a rebound in fresh produce, and it didn't happen so they had loads of trucks sitting idle w no driver or contracts.

Around June we got an email from the president about how they need to cut costs to keep the company afloat, so they stopped renting the California drop-yard and now we had to do direct delivery rather than drop and relay. It didn't affect me much as they still reimbursed my paid parking at Flying J for my hometime. The announcement that they're closing the OTR completely came in September and was really sudden. I still don't know if maybe something shady was happening in the background but the president was pretty communicative so I feel like he was being honest.

They're still keeping a few trucks doing Denver to Omaha, but that's it. Paid for my plane ticket home, agreed to store my personal items at the terminal for up to a month, and off I go.

Oh yeah, they're auctioning most of their 2023, 24 Volvos in Las Vegas, so if you're getting a sudden influx of options at the auction there... that'd be why. Lol.

    Rugerfan Thanks this.

Wow that's shocking. I sure saw a Denney truck recently. Everybody is feeling the pinch.

Yeah like I said apart from the going bankrupt thing, they were really a good company to work for. Treated the drivers professionally

I guess you'll be looking for a new job. Are going to stick with trucking, or going down a different path? Let us know how this all shakes out.:)

    Lonesome Thanks this.
