Thats something for the DBL to handle on the detention. Detention pays out on this kind of schedule.
Overs 2 hrs but not 3 hrs pays 15. 3-5 hours pays 30, 5-7 hrs 40, I think 7-9 pays 50 and over 9 is considered layover which pays 65
Same with the pay issues. I have finished a load on monday before noon and been paid for i that same settlement.
So in my opinion , your DBL isnt doing his or her job as well as I have experienced elsewhere.
If after a convo with them you arent satisfied , speak to their manager. Go up the chain.

Gotcha. Yeah, I'll give her a call tomorrow and talk about it. I'm not sure if there's some disconnect since I'm just out of training, I seem to have three people that are somewhat involved in my runs instead of just the dbl. Hopefully the miles are a similar thing, maybe it's a training board or something. Not sure how some of the things I've done can be considered suitable for training, but at least I'm having a little fun with some of these places and not just holding a steering wheel.

Ahhh. 90 day DBL. raise your concerns and see where it goes.
Once you hit 90 days and get to your reguualr board and DBL you should see improvements across the board.
One key right now is having accurate ETD's, and NAT's.
I would suggest , when you stop for break or whatever or even stop to check this, but l;ook for the preassign and if you dont see one, message in. SHOW them you are on the ball. But be accurate with your times. -
Ya, I've been making sure these are on point. To be fair, I'm usually setting the etd with an hour extra just to give myself a window in case I encounter something new and different. But I haven't been more than an hour early or 15 min late yet and my Nat's been on point. I haven't tried messaging yet, that's a good idea

How long you been solo?

@Friday is fairly new if I remember correctly. Right now still on the. 0-90 DBL, don't be afraid to message in. Once they see you don't need an excess amount of hand holding you'll be surprised how quick things go from "why am I sitting to I think I can get this run in before hitting my 70"

About 10 days..

Yea, that's what I'm hoping for! -
Well, here's another one for the books. Drop and hook in Ashville OH. Supposed to be ready by 9, so I show up at 850. Drop my trailer, get inside right at 9. Still getting loaded. Get told to go hang out in the truck. So I do. At 10, a lumper (same guy from the shipping office) brings my trailer around and says it'll be 15 minutes or so for the paperwork to be ready but here's the trailer. Awesome. So I hook up the trailer which is a beautiful 95 series again.. Take a few minutes of looking around at the nothing Ohio has to offer and go inside. No one there. Find some guy in the back of the shipping office that obviously wants to do his job and he walks out to the desk, looks at paperwork and says it's not ready yet. Says it'll definitely be ready by noon. I'm a little incredulous. It's 1015. Ask if I should come back and see if it's ready before and the guy gets rather pissed off and yells at me that if I want to check I can come back in an hour. And walks back in to his corner to get back to his texting. So. I'm waiting until 11. At this point I want detention pay even if it's only $15. Haven't seen this level of incompetence at a shipper since two days ago, so it was refreshing to see that people in Ohio want to work just as hard as people in New York.

Haha fair enough. It's just so impressive when I run into people at very legit looking facilities that seem unable to do their jobs at all.
Another question. I'm about to take some home time and I'm from Richmond va. Anyone have any ideas for where I can park this gigantic thing while I'm home? Looking at trucker path, there's a pilot about 20 miles south, but that's not exactly ideal since my car is still at the OC in Charlotte..
