I am finally getting my start for ACT tomorrow morning. I have several years experience, but it has been over a year since I have been OTR, so I am doing their ReActivate program. A few days of orentation, then I go with a trainer for 4,000 miles.
After the 4,000 miles, I come back and get my truck. Not a bad thing since I have never ran electronic logs before. I really appreciate all of the good information I have received from the fellow ACT drivers here on the report.
I am going to do the same as the other drivers and share my experiences with ACT. Back with more information tomorrow following day 1 on orentation.![]()
Starting orentation tomorrow for ACT!

Day 1 of orentation is in the books. A basic start to orentation. Drug screens, physicals, introduction to the company. Everyone here has been very nice and upfront. Spent most of the time at the doctor's office.
Sounds like we will meet alot more people tomorrow. Kind of ran short on time today since the physicals took alittle longer than usual. Like what I have been hearing so far. I will be a company driver here for at least 90 days, so I should be able to get a different angle for people with questions about company drivers here. -
Good luck to you bigcat. I have a feeling you'll do just fine!

Thanks Gears. Have a good feeling about this company. -
Good Luck to you hope it's all you want it to be.

Day 2 is in the books. Heard alot of good things today. We covered alot of stuff. Pay, benefits, eletronic logs.... Did find out they have a drop yard close to home. That will come in handy. One more full day of orentation tomorrow, then a half day on friday. Road test first thing in the am.
There is a very good atmosphere here. Everyone is down to earth and very friendly. Sound like I will be doing my training in a Kenworth with a studio sleeper. Only have to train for 4,000 miles, but at least it will be in style. Ha!Gears Thanks this. -
let us know if they hire newbies
