I hear Melton is a pretty good outfit. Talked to one of their drivers at Fontana Thermoking while getting our Tripacs serviced. He was very happy with hometime and money.
MIA305 Thanks this. -
I hear that too, I did my research and Melton looks like they are pretty fear with the drivers and the payment is good, I know that I have to learn a lot, they offer me 0.41/mile with no experience I think is good money to start.

I learned to flatbed there. It was my second job after a my first year being at FFE. I liked Melton a lot. They run a "tight ship". You couldn't do much better IMHO. Flatbedding isn't for everyone. There's a learning curve and it's steep. The responsibility for securing cargo is huge and rightfully so. But you can learn and in the end, I bought my own truck and I'm still flat-bedding. I like it much better than "bumping docks".

after your 1 week orientation you will go out with a trainer for 3 weeks and then you will get your own truck, i hope it works out for you, if you have any questions you can ask me anytime. -
