Starting out for rookies

I am trying to find a company to sponsor my Truck Driving School Tuition. There are alot of them out there. My only problem is... I have a misdemeanor for possession of paraphernalia about 14 months old. I have a clean driving record, am prior military with a honorable discharge, and want to go OTR. PLEASE CAN ANYONE DIRECT ME TO A SCHOOL THAT WILL ACCEPT ME?!

 

I believe you are in a pickle here. I would call PAM, Stevens Transport, Swift, Warner or US Express and see if they will do it for you. Since it is 14 months old you might find it difficult getting into a company who will pay for your schooling.

 

Ha. You don't even have to be in a truck to be approached. About 10 years ago, a friend and I stopped at a truckstop west of Birmingham because they had a nice homestyle buffet. We were actually propositioned at the table while eating. Yum.
