99% of companys are going to send you out on the road with a trainer for 2-8 weeks.

My company just gives us a truck, but most newbies cant handle that...

that doesnt even begin to explain the retardedness of their traffic!!!!

I HATE DC! Its the biggest cluster Fluck I've ever seen in my life! to go from I-66 in VA up into DE took me like 3 hours the last 2 times.

heres a tip, if at all possible DO NOT go through there between 6AM and 11AM thats the worst time, then again between 3PM and 9PM

D.C. is second in the nation only to L.A., but apparently in about 3 years at the rate we are expanding we will overtake L.A. and take the top spot as worst traffic.

I avoid 66 EAST BOUND from 5am-12. 66 west bound is bad starting around 3pm-8:30pm or so. Just don't drive 66 ever. Don't even get me started on 295,395, or 495. The beltway just sucks all day because they let stupid people drive.

Our Story. My wife and I were driving Team for CFI for almost 9 months back in 2006-2007, when my daughter got sick, needed surgery, and needed someone to stay with her full time after the operation, or she would have had to be in an assisted living/health care facility.

The choice was easy, and we came off the road to be with her.

A couple of months later, some ex-colleagues of mine called with a job offer at a new startup high-tech company making battery packs for hybrid cars/trucks/buses. They offered stock options, health care, the works. Well, it's been 3 1/2 years, and I just got laid off. They are not making any money, and they are starting to tighten their belts.

I talked to CFI, (I mean Conway) and we are on the "okay to rehire list", but we do not have any experience in the last 3 months.

My wife has been driving a school bus for the last year and a half, so her CDL is still active. I only need to update my medical card.

Any suggestions/ideas for companies that might hire us as a Team? I wouldn't mind a little retraining/certification or whatever, if they think it is necessary.

Looking forward to some more dazzling sunsets and sunrises out there.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

You can always check Central Ref... My hubby and I are teaming. He started first and I am now joining him. (after about 3 months) but he had a married couple 'train' together in the class he went through AND if you both have active CDL's you would probably just need to do the refresher training (there would be a cost associated with it of course) but you might want to call and ask.
