Hell yeah they are lol.
The whole aggressive dog thing is laughable. Show me a Doberman that is ready to attack someone and my mind will be blown. That’s one of the most people friendly breeds I’ve ever see.Gunner75 Thanks this. -

Yea, statistics show if I recall the most bites per year are from little dogs. Thing is talking about a bloody thirsty Yorkie eating some kid's face doesn't give the same image as a pit dragging a kid into a hole in devouring it's soul. Remember...violence sells.
I've known plenty of dogs who traveled full time. Rv, Semi, Car, tent, etc. Most seemed to adapt to the situation. I can only relate my own experiences though. Not trying to change anyone's mind or stance. If I met 6 labs at a truck stop, each would be different in attitude, temper, etc same with pits, or whatever dog. I just treat each dog as if I know nothing about it. Seems to work for me, as I've yet to get my face eaten or my soul devoured.
My point? Don't always believe the hype. Oh an I do agree...a tanker truck probably won't be the best home for a dog. For all the safety reasons folks listed in regards to chemicals an emergency an the like.

Every dog will bite. People that say my dog would never do that are wrong. If the dog interprets a situation as dangerous to themselves or their owner they can become aggressive. Sometimes even dogs misjudge the situation.
We had a dog for 10 years that never displayed aggressive behavior. She was a mutt. One day my wife was across the alley working in the garden. She had the poodle with her and it barked at a man riding a bike past her in the alley. The big dog hearing the little dog bark, bit the man on the bike. She thought he was threat to my wife. We ended having to get rid of the dog due to our home owners insurance.Dan.S and spyder7723 Thank this. -

A 10 pound chihuahua or a 75 pound pit bull.
Your argument makes zero sense.
You can kick a little dog off of you,
Your in a fight to the death with a pit bull,
And he's got teeth and you don't.
A 75lb dog has no business being locked up
In a truck 20 hours a day.
Not to mention destroying the inside of
Somebody's truck.Dan.S Thanks this. -
As far as fighting goes I have always loved that old saying. It is not the size of the dog in the fight it is the size of the fight in the dog. I never was much to want a pet. However if i had one during my time on the road that would have been a female Jack Russell. Not so small as to be an ankle biter but also not real large, and smart as hell.
