Well, hes been with me all day most days of his 4 years and loves going on trips. I hear what you guys are saying about him deserving better than being stuck in a truck though... will consider the best thing for him as he deserves it.

Its a bummer however seeing all the breed bashing though but stereotypes exist for reasons I guess. Here is my vicious fighting dog whos layed with two hospice patients as they died without family there among many many hours working with geriatrics. His dad is a trained protection dog and his mom a farm dog. Hes had small dogs attack him at the dog park and hang off his face and he just treats them like puppies. Its how you raise them people. Cheers

Who says everyone lives in a truck? I could bring any dog, baby, snake or person I want to ride around with me for my 8-10 hour shifts.

So because you’re scared of big dogs I’m supposed to be? My argument makes perfect sense. You even said so yourself “just kick the small dog off you” which is the reason a lot of small dogs are never trained and are psychos. You just push them to the side instead of addressing their behavior.

I don't hate drugs. I like dogs more than almost every human in this planet. But ya know what i like more than dogs? Not losing everything i spent 25 years busting my tail to build.

There is absolutely no upside to me allowing a driver to keep one of these animals on the truck. But there sure is plenty of downside.

I wont bother to try and link the sources on my phone but google health benefits to owning a dog and benefits to having a dog on the truck. You'll see several studies/articles which site the benefits among others being better physical health, better mental health and an epic wing-man. Not telling you how do be because free will is a beautiful thing, but throw that into your mindset equation brother.

Don't get me wrong man. I'm not bashing your dog or the breed, it isn't about that. I've even owned dogs in that bs dangerous breed list. everything I've said in this thread is from a business owner perspective, not personal opinion on the breed. It comes down to simply not being able to trust a potential employee that i barely know that his dog isn't aggressive.

Ya got to look at it from an employers view. Risk vs reward.

I’d just give the dog owners the older trucks I guess and make them sign a waiver saying you’re not responsible for their dogs actions.

All our trucks are old my boss doesn’t care about anything we bring in our trucks, I’ll bring my girlfriend, dog or both lol.

I was upset when my company would not allow my pet tiger in the truck with me. He’s a gentle cat and I don’t even have to feed him. He just eats other people’s pets.
