$3.52 per hour and 0.02 per mile. After finishing training (one year) I had graduated up to $6.92 per hr and 0.02 per mile.
Averaged about 1800 miles per week (lot of driving on old US 30 before I-80N, later I-84).
That was a teamster job and the money was so good, I bought my first house for $23,000...considered WAY too much. (Sold that house three years ago for $490,000).

$100 a day to train, after that .43 loaded and .35 or .36 empty. $14ish on the hour. I can't pull my checks up before we got a 3.5% raise last October so I can't remember the exact numbers. I'm sure there's some mathematical formula I could use, but I'm far too lazy for all of that.

You're Canadian. Beaver skins and maple syrup don't count as pay...

.22 per mile in 1998 at Schneider. Then they put me on dedicated Sears in Manteno,Il at $101 a day home every day. Once Christmas passed they put me back OTR and I quit because I would make less on the road than being home every day. Left and went to US Xpress at .30 per mile.

Sad thing is they don't pay much more starting now, and cost of living has certainly went up quite a bit since then......
