Well that's something you don't see every day! Someone pulled into the Campus Inn lot with a truck AND a training trailer....lol! Wonder how he plans on getting that turned around to get out...

lol, yeah I'm here. My phone ran out of minutes and I didn't have time to post anything on the road...lol! Left Springfield for Stockton, CA last Thursday, dropped Sunday. Reloaded in Bakersfield Monday and drove thru that NM blizzard on the tail end Tuesday. Now sitting in Lewiston, ME waiting to unload in the morning. Right about 5,000 miles for the week. My trainer is pretty cool, he is a trained chef and we stop and cook food when we have time. He cooked up some brats and home made chile Saturday night at the Loves on Tehachapi that was some of the best tasting food I have ever had!. Sunday night we had Southwestern style baked Tilapia. We do grilled ham and cheese sandwiches while we are going down the road. He's trying to lose weight and I'm trying to not gain any and it seems to be working.

Anyway, get my first check in the AM! FINALLY! Best present I could get beside running the coast. My trainer is lease and Pete in SprgMo set the ECM up right on his 2011 Pete before we headed out last week. I just strolled across I-80 last night with about 44,000 in the box, dropped a gear maybe twice and we got 7.9 mpg.

Was a really good satisfying run up to Maine from Cali, but this old man needs a nap! I'll update when I can! Happy Holidays to all and BE SAFE! I'm gonna spend the holiday trucking...which is PERFECT!

 

Whew first time I have been able to get online for over a week..lol! Been running HOT team produce loads EVERYWHERE. Picked up a load of blue berries Monday afternoon in Miami for Salt Lake City 5 am Wednesday. Across Wyoming with a 70+ mile cross wind. Repowered a load of apples out of SLC wed delivered Thursday afternoon. Repowered a load of tomatoes last night in Dallas, out of Nogales going to Detroit to deliver New Years morning at 8 am. Currently sitting in SprgMo gettin g a fuel filter changed. I am wiped and going to sleep. I get to drive into Detroit tonight dodging drunks...lol! Happy New Year to all! Hoping to get another load west out of Reed City to the coast for more produce..

 

Ya we got in around 5 am Saturday morning, the place was a zoo cuz of the party. My trainer who is lease was supposed to have had an appt for APU work at 6:00 am, they bumped it to monday so we left. Had to deliver in Michigan New Years day anyway. Still no working APU but we are getting about 7.2 with idling when we have to.
