Starting Prime PSD - November 8th

They probably wouldnt stick ya with a flatbed instructor if you werent planning on staying. We have a shortage of instructors and trainers on the flatbed side so their at a premium. Just ask DA1 what he went through to make the switch. Hope you enjoy sitting a lot cwc, cus you will be.

Ya Ive had the same experience Oldman. Very little sitting, n a lot of turnin n burnin.

 

Darn you. A flatbed instructor in the same state I'm in...and I'm still here, fully employed by your Uncle Sam for another 50 days. When I get ready to find a flatbed instructor, I'll probably have to wait until August. Or April. Oh, the injustice.

 

You might lol We really are short on trainers/instructors. I might do it one day when I know enough... If anything happens to Hemi, I might get a trainee instead of a new pet lol

 

I know what you mean ORD, i use to work for a reefer company so i am use to the sitting at shippers and receivers, i figure i could get a workout training in flatbed then switch, but i know now that's not going to work. Thanks for the info.

 

Congrats IYOM on getting an instructor and coming 2d skateboard side hope you enjoy it.....its true what ORD stated flatbed instructors/trainers are limited I waited a week before I got my trainer and he was the 2nd one the 1st trainer I was assigned decided he didn't want 2 train anymore so we really don't have a lot of them over here
Good luck with being a trainer ORD whenever you do it I doubt I will but u never insurance what the future holds

 

We shall see if I ever decide to train.... I got to learn more before I can train someone else to do this. Never know though

 

We are a minority lol not quite as much as tanker, but nowhere near as many as reefer. Flatbed is more of a community than reefer. All the flatbedders here at Prime I've met were very happy to help out. Were more like a brotherhood. I've had flatbedders from other companies wave going down the road. Were a special breed. Most can't flatbed, but we can.
