A local Cop friend of mine, when he got his bike out this spring, the state inspection was expired. So,ride it 3 miles to the inspection garage,in the town where he's a cop? Nope...he rented a U-Haul trailer to carry it there. He's a very lawful officer..

I was a LEO in the Navy, and I'll admit, I didn't follow laws and regs half the time. I also didn't enforce them (except DUI, which I didn't do) either, so I didn't feel guilty.

Well I received the call from Driver Orientation. My driver/trainer is leaving Wisconsin, and Roehl is trying to find him a load down toward me. I will contact my Fleet Manager Friday for the details. I'm still fumbling my way through the workbook. I must be overthinking the stuff. It really shouldn't take as long as I'm making it take. Perhaps I'll use my evening time after drill more wisely. (Plus getting away from all the wife's "honey do" lists will help too.) I'm sure if I'd just sit down and stay at it, I'd get the whole thing done.

All the answers are in the big binder book they gave you..called DSM maybe ? I forgot already. Just make sure you add the weights up on the section for scaling loads. ! A gallon of diesel is 6.7 or 7 lbs.? me thinks. All the macros are in the big book too. pm me, I have some time I can send you some answers.

It's called the DRG (driver reference guide). I wouldn't worry about it too much, they didn't even look at mine when I tested out.

I was more or less press ganged into the rate. I had a good time for the most part, but thought most of the "enforcement" efforts were dumb, and optional :biggrin_25519:

Hey guys. Just wanted to see how the freight is hauling? Could anyone post their average mileage for the past month or so? I'm working on a spread sheet, attempting to compare them sooner or later. I know some of you are salary drivers, so that might make a difference than actual mileage drivers. BTW, I'll be joining you all at Roehl in Sept. Figure I already have college time in. Might as well the GI BILL on something that I can benefit from. Taker easy and be safe

Well, at least I am finally done with the Navy!!!! No, more badge to wear or belt to strap on.
Waiting to start my training with Roehl on June 23. Just hope that I will make it. After 20 years of nothing but the military this should be interesting. Had to re-join since i lost my pass word. I used to me MAO12 now it is MAO1. What should I expect from the School?

Congrats on retiring! School, and this job, should be no sweat for you. The first day is all paper-work, then you get into the trucks! It's a good time all-in-all. You'll have a couple hours of class Monday through Friday (death by PowerPoint) and then spend the remainder of the day on the road. Saturdays are all backing practice. You don't "have to" stay the entire day, but it's highly recommended. If you stay in the Old Dutch, prepare for a 70's adult film scene type living quarters. They are cozy, but retro. Marshfield is nice, check out the Sunrise Diner on Main Street; they have great breakfast. Let me know if you have any specific questions. Hope to see ya.
