1 year since my last post. I'm still here.

Since the last time I posted I've done quite a lot of other accounts.

    Family Dollar (St George, UT)
    Syndicate Sales (Kokomo, IN)
    Walmart (Sterling, IL)
    Master Halco (Detroit, MI)
    JCPenney (Columbus, OH)
    Costco (Owatonna, MN)
    Master Halco (Olney, IL)
    Metrie (Louisville, KY)
    BJ's Wholesale (Uxbridge, MA)
    Master Halco (Des Moines, IA)
    Master Halco (Spokane, WA)
    Eaton (Van Wert, OH)
    CVS (Rhode Island)
    Master Halco (Seattle, WA)

I feel like I'm probably missing something here but I can't think of it right now.

Crazy how much airtime I'm finally getting on the west coast. Coming to the Pacific Northwest twice in the same year wasn't on my bingo card but I'm not complaining. Things are expensive over here and the traffic kinda sucks, but the scenery is unmatched. I just finished up a week doing Master Halco in Seattle and now I'm headed down to Los Angeles to see whats next.

I haven't been home to Louisiana since November, and I only stopped there so I could grab some things before flying to Alaska for vacation. In the past year I've crossed off my 49th visited state (Alaska), leaving only Hawaii. I was able to park my truck at the Laredo OC and rent a car to drive to see the solar eclipse during totality, it was AWESOME! Was also able to park for a week in Salt Lake City to get a big Airbnb with some of my friends and hang out in real life for a change.

And I've crossed off a few new countries as well. Earlier this year I visited South Korea and Thailand, and last month I rented an RV in the UK and drove it from Scotland to England and back (it's not as fun as it sounds, it's too much like work haha, but it was a cool experience anyway). Over the Christmas holidays Schneider helped me show up at my dad and grandmother's house in Wisconsin, unannounced, for Christmas. The whole family got a kick out of me pulling up in the driveway in the truck. I was able to treat everyone to an epic Christmas dinner. Was amazing especially considering it was all unplanned. I just so happened to be at the right place at the right time for a 34hr reset. Now I understand how Santa must feel when he shows up hahahah.

I was considering taking a hiatus from trucking for a couple months to try and go live abroad and focus on my health (lose some weight), but it turns out that will be a bigger hassle than its worth. I'm gonna need to save up quite a bit more money before I can seriously consider something like that. I'm only 3 years away now from being able to take 3 weeks of PTO a year, so maybe I should just keep going for that haha. I'm also a couple weeks away from finally closing on my childhood house back in Louisiana. Got a good deal on it but I'm going to have to hire a crew soon to start doing remodeling. Will see how that goes.

Kinda crazy to come back and read this thread sometimes when I remember to look. It's cool to reminisce on how it all started and looking back on when things were simpler haha. Missing 2021 sometimes. I look back fondly on my first year at Schneider, but sometimes I ask myself how in the world I managed to stay in the truck for 5 months straight doing the Home Depot account. Now I don't know if I could do 5 weeks straight of Home Depot LOL. I do miss Home Depot sometimes, but probably not enough to do it for 5 months straight. I prefer the variety now. I haven't done any account for longer than about 5 weeks in quite some time, for better or for worse.

Anyway, drive safe yall. Keep the rubber side down.

PS If yall ever have any questions about NDF or Schneider feel free to reply to this post and I'll do my best to answer. I check my emails regularly and I'll get a notification if someone replies.

Congrats!!! Great story, & write-up.....

    Since you've obviously "killed it"....pulling boxes -- why don't you switch over to Schneider's tanker fleet -- & post your experiences/what that's like here, also? :p :D
