Well when on the road today first thing in the morning. Was a little rusty from the weekend on my downshifting but got back into it. then went on the shifting track to practice. i'm suprised at how much better we are all doing with only a few days of shifting.

Lmao they said it would be fixed after our class..That front end feels like its going to wobble right off...But either run under 45, or just power through it...you'll be fine. The turning radius on that truck is ###### as all hell.

    Who is your road instructor?

Sam must be the one that quit cause the only instructors we have are Dennis, Skip, Mike and Harrold

gbramlet, Im going to the October class. The online classes are a lot easier than I thought. Any advice on what to bring? Also, about the medical card for the physical, I had my DOT physical Done about a year ago, I never got a card. Think National might still have my medical info in their systems?

Hey guys, I just went through NTI in Late June-early July for a refresher. Took the whole course. First got my CDL through NTI in July 2000 and had Sam for my road tester. I wanted to see him again but was told he quit/retired right after the class that went before me. Durn. Anyhoo, I had Mike for an instructor. He was quiet and since he knew that I had some experience, he left me alone and just guided me when he saw I was going to do something wrong. Skip is as advertised, what a guy! Harold is cool, and Dennis (the loveable old goat) is from the Heavy Equipment side. Pay attention to Iwa, the "employment coordinator" , she knows her stuff and can get you #### near anything! I had a great time, there were 4 women in the class, and only three students failed out on the last day. they made arrangements to come back and retest later. Pay good attention and have a good time. And STAY HYDRATED!

The online course will tell you what to bring. its the section preparing for resident training. October wont be too bad, but I would bring light colored shirts and sunscreen for when your on the backing pad. The sun is brutal. Not sure about your physical, I would go to the place you had it done they should have record of it.
