Starting school on the 15th Oct. Thanks for all the help!

I've been trying to get into CDL school since July through the WIA program here in KY. A little more paperwork next week and they said I should be ok for the 15th of Oct. Going to Delta Career Academy in Mt Sterling, KY. If anyone else has been there or is going, please hit me back. Thanks to this forum, I have recieved so much information that has helped me make some very important decisions about CDL schools, companies, equipment, truckers and so much more.

Went to the school and listened to an Averitt recuriter today, and I must say, he did make a very good pitch. Very professional and they paid more than Schneider to start (I was going to go there first). Averitt starts at .33cpm and Schneider said about .28cpm (I think ). Also Averitt said that you will be home on the weekend, even in the 5 week training after CDL school.I thought that was real nice. Still looking though, trying to keep an open mind.

Love the form and I will keep you updated on how the school is. I did hear that a lot of the trucking companies around here like the school and will hire from there. I think FedEx and Pepsi have also been there.
