Buying lunch is not an option. Beginning on Day 2 or 3, you will be at the driving range until you are sent to your home state for CDL road skills training. (As a Tennessean you'll likely stay in Millington for this training.) The "lunch lady" doesn't come by out there.

In the classroom at the range there are microwaves for heating whatever you bring that needs heating. There are cold drink machines and snack machines outside at the smoking area.

Plan to bring your lunch or you'll have to make do with snacks.

You'll spend about 10hrs per day at the range, either in the classroom or outside. Bring a large water bottle so you can stay hydrated. It's hot out there and, even though most of the trucks have working ac, you'll lose a lot of fluids/electrolytes.

    Fewe Thanks this.

Powdered Gatorade is your friend. If it tastes good, you need it. Also, Wallyworld sells 1/2 gal water bottles...

Glad to hear that bringing lunch is a viable option. I would much rather bring lunch than have to buy lunch every day, I just wasn't sure if it was logistically doable. The weather has finally broken in Memphis and 120* heat index is a thing of the past but I will be bringing a water bottle. And yes, gatorade is my friend. Thanks again for the help and advice.
