    I have been reading this forum for a while and I hear good and bad about every company. I am scheduled to begin my training with Swift at their school in TN on October 3rd. I will post regularly to try and help those that are in the same situation that I am. Wish me luck!

    I'm lookin at going to Swift in Phoenix. How long did it take you from initial application until you got your starting date? I'm gonna go talk to the recruiter Monday. What jumps out at you that you wish someone had told you before you went?

    Best of luck bro.

    I remember about five months ago I was in your same shoes. Getting ready for a new experience with Swift being the introducer. Are you starting the Swift Academy, or your going straight into orientation? If going into the Academy, do your best, I hear they've gotten real strict about passing the skills test. However, if you take the road i took by paying for my own schooling the cool beans! All l can give you from my experience is, hang in there. The mentor part is ruff at the start, but if you just stay focus on what you want out of this industry, you'll thank yourself when you have your own tractor doing what you want..
