Nope, but i know of a company possibly looking for an otr dairy driver. Ranges from California to almost Iowa out of dairies in UT and ID and CO. Older hood trucks well kept and lots of work.
Starting the search again in Eastern Idaho area. Any recommendations?

Hit up the dairy industrial complex in Jerome and see who's rolling in and out. Not in the east but trucks from there and the Logan UT area range pretty wide.
Milky Way has a lot of driver turnover and radar BS in their trucks.
Idaho Milk Products has shiny new Volvo daycabs, haven't talked to one of their drivers to know where they go or how they get paid, but they look happy. -
So — just got done wading around in mud up to my rear doing chores — it’s snowing/raining, hunting season is closed, got a fire going and I’m bored — not sure why, but felt compelled to share a recent experience with you all.
First of all, since I was a pup, I travel with a couple of little dudes that hang out on each shoulder — Little Dude On Right (LDOR) is my right hand man — we have a good time, but it’s a good idea to have 1k bailout money in reserve when he is in charge. Little Dude On Left (LDOL) is more reserved — we get along, but he is not much fun.
A little while ago while sitting at my favorite gin palace with a couple trucker buddies of mine, they planted a seed that I can’t quite get rid of — “ Why don’t you just get your own truck and roll on your own numbers”? Hmmm — a novel idea. So I start looking at what needs to happen and what kind of money it takes to get a start. Even broached the subject with the better half — very limited enthusiasm, but not rejected outright.
I have been running a job that has been very intense for most of last year and am getting close to being done — also have the kids out on on their own doing well — have a big place with 20acres that is a bear to take care of that is on the market with quite a bit of interest. My life is going to change in a big way very soon and I’m ready.
So I have to drive by the local Kenworth dealer twice a day and have been keeping my eye on the lot for a while. Right before Christmas, I happened to notice this on the lot ( photo attached I hope). WOW — so I happen to know the manager of this establishment and stopped in to visit and take a look — never have been in a brand new truck before.
Remember LDOR and LDOL? Well LDOR is all in — starts talking about rolling down the lost highway listening to Willie’s Roadhouse and what a great life it would be. Kind of started tearing up. LDOL is looking around and saying yea, this is nice, but don’t you think we ought to consider how to pay for it, maybe hustle up some customers, think about what to do about a roof over our head — blah blah blah. LDOR tells him to shut up — tells me “ you got this man — what could possibly go wrong”? Yeah — what could possibly go wrong.
So when I get home, I cooked a couple big T-bones to celebrate the big boss’s birthday and kind of broached the subject about maybe looking at a truck. LDOR lets it slip that we had a good giggle about how cool it would be to just show up and suprise her — also mentioned the price tag on the suprise. All I have done my adult life is be a sailor, work construction and drive truck. I learned some new vocabulary — something about having the key surgically removed from a sensitive part of my anatomy and some reference to somebody named JW Bobbitt — if I ever pulled a stunt like that — not that there’s a history.
So, I guess for the time being, I keep looking for an outfit to go to work for and dream on. Sorry this is so long winded, but I am bored.Attached Files:
