Well I am in my 4th day of training I m doing okay with the double clutching, but having a little trouble with backing but it's only the 4th day I have 4 weeks left. Any one have any suggestions I know position is everything, but just can't seem to get the right position.

Thanks JB I had a pretty good day yesterday did my alley dock on the first try, I tried something different I watched my rear tractor tires when turning instead of the trailer it really seemed to help. And on the straight line backing I kept my elbows tight to my sides and I didn't have any problems, thanks for the encourgment I was kinda feeling down but this forum does a good job of helping people out thanks.

Well it's been a while since I have posted on here but have been doing night classes, been working from 8-5 and going to class M-F from 5:30 - Midnight. It's been a long 5 weeks I went and took my test to get my CDL and did not pass, I did the PTI and In-Cab perfect even did my right turn great only go 1 point, did my straight line back up perfect got 1 point on my bumper stop. So now it was time to do my 90 degree alley dock and I had only 2 points and I had 7 to spare, could not do it I totally screwed it up I was so frickin mad the tester told me that I should go back and get more training on backing. But the problem is that I do my training in Lansing with very used equipment and I believe it is set up differently, then when I go do the testing in Taylor the equipment is a lot better and the line up for the 90 degree docking seems different than Lansing. I am going to ask if I can do the additional training in Taylor I believe that will help a lot, then I will be able to pass the test.
