Starting training at 18 in Massachusetts for a CDL class A license!

    Can I at 18 do a 540hr training at NETTTS in the tiny state of Massachusetts?I want to eventually become a OTR driver. Advice appreciated! :)

    Right; Intrastate only until she's 21, then can run 48 states and Canada.

    Your age greatly limits which companies can hire you and you can only work in-state.

    THERE IS NO TRUCK DRIVER SHORTAGE. There are lots of experienced CDL drivers with perfect records not getting hired. Intil you are 21 or 23, depending on the company, you are not in high demand. I always recommend nobody go to CDL school until they have lined up their first job that knows everything relevant to the hiring decision. CDL schools will claim even those in a coma should go to CDL school this week. They will tell students with little chance of getting hired to start school now. That's how schools pay their own bills.
