    I will be attending another school to get my CDLa Will millis hire me? Will I go straight to orientation or will they want me to go throgh their three week school?

    Millis hires with 1yr verified OTR experience -or- after attending their 3 week driver school (MTI) (not simple 3 day orientation).

    So if you want to work for them and just went to school, you need to apply and then go to their school (again), whenever the next class is offered.
    If you already paid for CDL school, you get to pay again ($).

    I believe there is only 1 class at the moment (11/2) and in Richfield WI (near Milwaukee) - no other class times have been posted at the present time.

    Got my DOT physical today and my CDL learners permit. Less than 2 weeks to go. I am ready!!!

    Week 1 has come and gone and things are going well. MTI seems to be very thorough. The Richfield instructor, Harold, is very knowledgeable. A little more than half the week was spent in the classroom and the rest of the time we were out in the yard. It's actually been kind of fun. I'm looking forward to this coming week where we will spend more time in the yard and less time in the classroom. There is a lot to learn but as many have said before me, have a good attitude and listen and everything will be alright. Drive safe!!!

    Hi scuba, does the classroom work consist of TESTS? Do you take test on the General Knowledge, Air Brakes, etc???

    Yes, each chapter has a quiz at the end but they are pretty easy. Then we had a test for all the info we covered in week 1 but it was open book and it assigned as homework so you could take as much time as needed to complete it.
