Starting training at Millis on Nov 2, 2009

Hey Mark, which is the best deal???

 

Hey mark, are you still driving for millis? if not what happen and where are you at now?

 

For me and the type of driving I was doing, it would have paid me the same.

I drove for Millis for 3 years, then got local job.

I now drive for a small company that hauls it's own product, they are not a trucking company. I'm paid by the hour for everything, get to log 100% legal all the time, and have weekends off. I get run to Canada about 2 to 3 times a month, it's a day drive there and a day drive back, that fills my wanting to ride OTR every so often. I drive a day cab, so i get put up in the hotel of my choice, get paid for all meals and such.

Yes, I like Millis, very good company to work for. I would average 3200 miles a week.

Hey mark, how often did you get home? spanky dropped me a couple lines about where I lived and the shipping lanes I was in. I live in Old Fort NC, 20 miles east of Asheville NC. What do you think? do I live in pretty good shipping lanes?

 

Is anyone calling 1st week in December to lock in a date for Jan 18th in Trenton?

 

I stayed out 3 weeks, then took 4 to 5 days off. In 3 years I was only late getting home twice, and only by less then 24 hours.

You shouldn't have any problems getting home, they have a terminal in Eden, NC.

After reading all the good stuff on this company, I am seriously considering it.
I live 40 miles north of Columbus Ohio.
Do they put you up in a hotel while you are at training?
