Hey Jim, I'm suppose to call the first week in December(next week) and lock in a date to go to Trenton on the 18th of Jan. I don't know but if I can I am going to try and hold out until they get the cartersville ga school going again. DeeAnn said they were hoping to get it going EARLY SPRING. I am pretty much anxious to get it going though. I've been sitting around to long thinking about it around the clock doesn't help. Right now I'm just thinking of gettin 'er done.

Millis Transfer Review by Driver, November 17, 2009
Millis Transfers website is nothing but false adveritising. On a scale of 1 to 10 are far as treatment of drivers Millis comes in under 2. Drivers are lead to believe that the money that comes out of their pay for health insurance is actually administration fees for a company that handles their paperwork as Millis is self-insured. Miles and pay are inadequate. For a driver just starting out Millis provides equipment that is more than 3 years old. I would NOT recommend any driver to Millis Transfer.

Millis Transfer Review by Anonymous, January 16, 2009
Watch the Per Diem Rip Off. Home is usually 21/2 days per 2 weeks out. Benefits are so-so at best. New fleet and getting new trailers all the time, the new trucks are T2000s with a lot of bugs to work out.
I found this info on another site. -
ill bet your the driver that was talking on the phone and hit the car stopped at the red light in the rear end. if so you got fired and are now mad at the company. dont blame the company for YOUR mistake. ive been working for Millis for a little over a year, I do the per diem and have nothing but good things to say about the company.

Strick773,
I am not a truck driver yet. I did not say I agreed with what was said in the post. I was merely putting what I found on a different site.
I have found since Sept, that there are two sides to everything. I think it is better to have all of the information and then make an informed choice.
I am sure that Millis is a fine company. I also know that not everyone will agree with that statement!

One is very hard pressed to find anything negative (online) about Millis. Talk to any current driver, like I did and they couldn't be more pleased with the way they are being treated, home time, the equipment and the miles they are getting. I personally met Mike Millis while on a trip up to Black River Falls and he is a straight forward (No BS) sorta guy. Tells it like it is.... They do NOT take students or graduates unless you go through their own MTI school. Its a great school, with OH probably being the best training location. The GA school is (was?) private. I don't think MTI owns/operates the GA school - but it still falls under their requirements.... The ones in OH and WI are fully company owned and some of the best instructors teach at those 2 sites.
You won't go wrong with Millis - but if your in any of the shipping lanes or near a terminal - go ask any driver. Thats what I did and they were happy to talk.

I am not disputing any of that! Just thought for some balance, I would put some negative that I found about them on another site.
-
..just that it is hard to find bad stuff on Millis. Thats a good thing
-
the georgia school is a company school and it is run by the company.

Jim sorry to accuse you, guess i should read the posts just a little better. I just can't stand someone badmouthing a company for letting them go when it was the persons fault.
