No!! I am really sorry to hear this, RoseWild! When you have the energy, please keep us posted on how you are doing. You sound like you have the temperament to be an excellent truck driver. There must be a place for you in this industry somewhere, maybe if not behind the wheel, then in the office somewhere?

    RoseWild Thanks this.

I take solace in knowing if I was never meant to drive, maybe i was put here to inspire others to.

If it does turn out that you are not going to be able to drive, it's maybe worth looking into recruiting. Although road experience would go a very long way toward making you a better recruiter, your experience with the process is still useful - and your interactions, here, demonstrate a knack for communication and persuasion. It's clear that you believe in Roehl, as a company, and this thread has clearly drawn more recruits for them.

If they're smart, they will create a social media representative position, for you, as that would be an excellent fit for your demonstrated abilities, and also your health condition.

    Just a thought...

And I thought this thread was dead! I have missed so much! Rose, I am heartbroken for you! Say it ain't so! I guess the doctors have ruled out pneumonia or something else treatable? Were you a smoker? Praying for your Godspeed return to health. You ARE an inspiration to us all!
After finally getting my DAC, and not seeing any submission from my previous employer, dropped several apps (including Roehl-must be out of their hiring zone in northeast rural NC). Last week got an invite to Navajo in Denver, this week one from Total Transportation in MS, and awaiting one from TRIBE in Gainesville GA. I like dry van, but freight is slow now thinking about Reefer. My unemployment is about to come to an end either way which I am thankful of. Gonna wait until after Thanksgiving before I go. Worked the last two Turkey days. Hopefully, the economy and freight picks up. We will see.
