What's a grad fleet?

 

Your first 3 months as a solo driver you are on whats called Grad Fleet.

 

Grad Fleet is (as Corporal Clegg says) the first three months of running solo. During that time there is more hand holding and monitoring of your driving. As an example, grad fleet drivers do not have cruise control. This is to get the driver use to and experienced in controling their vehicle in all types of conditions. It really does require a lot more attentiveness to controlling and being aware of speed.
Grad fleet drivers are required to submit a trip plan for every trip. The idea is that your doing this for 90 days will build good habits and follow you for your driving career.
There are a few other things a grad fleet driver does, but it really amounts to hand holding as you set out on your own.
As you progress and prove your adeptness, it becomes less and less.
