IIRC, it was state patrol, but it has been a number of years, so I could be off on that.

I passed a diesel bear in the medium on I-10 in Florida once, he pulled out but didn't turn his lights on right away. When he did I was close to an exit to a rest area that was hidden through the trees, once inside, there was probably 15 or 20 dot's with trucks everywhere. I got out laughing and he ask what was so funny, I told him he was pretty sneaky the way he stopped me. lol

<<shakes head>> the fact that we need a law to enforce common sense <<shakes head>>

But, then again, it amazes me the number of times I've had to stop on the shoulder for one reason or another, the number of big trucks that refuse to move over, even when the lane next to them is clear. But, heck, McD's is paying $15 an hour...…...

Exactly what is the difference between slowing down and a speed reduction?

If you mean a reduction in MPH, generally 20MPH under the speed limit.
But slowing down implies the exact same thing... get your speed down if you can not move over. And by more than 5MPH!

    What would common sense dictate?
