I would like to ask the question if there was a web site, book or any kind of communication that would have all the different regulations for each state? This would cover length (California), CPU usage, etc.... Is there anything out there that would be a quick reference for this? Thanks for all the great wisdom you can share on this topic.

Motor carrier road atlas has a listing to all the states. So do the rand mcnally tnd series navigation devices. The gps' are pretty much the electronic versikn of the atlas.

I hate to be rude but you'd think after your advertised 10 years of driving you would know to look in the front of your atlas, all kinds of good junk in there, if its a motor carriers atlas that is. If not go to the closest truck stop and getcha one because there ain't a truck on these roads that shouldn't have one in there. Even if you know your route ya never know when the road will be closed for construction or a wreck and you need a detour!

I don't recall any information on apu's, but Rand McNally publishes a good motor carrier atlas. I buy one about every couple of years. It has all the length, weight and other information from each state.
