You have to learn to adjust your planning…you may not be able to make your original planned stop…

 

Yes unfortunately the governments have not kept up with the constant increase in trucks on the highways to to meet the demand of the consumer, so while the number of trucks on the interstates has continued to grow the rest stops and fuel stops and not kept up with demand particularly in the eastern seaboard, which is the reason why there is a huge problem trying to park at night. I can still remember my first trip across to the eastern states I was so excited, however once I experienced the parking or lack there of I was much more keen to stay hauling on the west coast. Our main run was basically down the I -15 from Logan Utah to Los Angeles or west on the I - 80 to Sacramento either way there was never an issue with finding a place to park except for Los Angeles itself but I rarely needed to park there anyway, always found a place to rest near the delivery point would go straight to re-load and then off to Utah once more.
