    Two years ago I would have agreed with this statement. Now as long no one died and you didn't get arrested you'll keep your job.

    They still might decline to hire you over past incidents, but once hired (second day of orientation) you really have to work to get fired.

    How do you prevent high hooking? is that when the trailer is higher and you have to crank it lower?

    High hooking is when your fifth wheel latches but the jaws aren't around the kingpin. That's when your kingpin is sitting on top of them.

    Preventing is easy. Don't back under a trailer that's too high.
