Of course loads going 150 miles will pay 750, I don't run those miles. I stay within a 50 mile radius. I don't do long hauls. If you want a load around town it pays 200-350 and goes straight through. That's why they pay so low because it leaves time to get more loads in a day. Charlotte is flooded with trucks calling on any local load and will take anything they can get.

That's ridiculous! You're a cheap freight hauler!! That's why they post this #### for 250. Disgusting!! Get better or get out, quit effing it up for everyone else.

$250-300 across town is nuts. Even at the worst of the downturns around here a move like that will pay $400-$450 which is still stupidly cheap and a waste of a day.

Does LS post loads I dat also or are those loads on the LS board only? I'm looking to switch to flatbed and stay within 200 miles around Chicago.

The loads that LS puts on DAT are always super cheap (at least for vans, I don't do flatness). They make TQL look good.

Never though I'd say this, but I'm siding with the broker on this one (why yes, Mr. Lucifer! I's love a spot right between the fire and the screaming lawyer! How considerate!)

Yes. Flats happen. It sucks, and it creates delays. But look at it from the Broker's side. New customer, first load is already falling apart. That new customer isn't gonna go "Oh well, flats happen." That customer is gonna scream "Where the heck is my truck? You said you could cover this load, we took a chamce on you, and you already screwed up! Screw you, Mr. Broker!"

You didn't get TONU. But on the other hand, you never got there for appt. either. And you were up and running in plenty of time to dig up a new (preferably better paying) load for your truck. Crap happens, move on.
