The only reason Ram sells trucks is they finance subprime loans, and the Cummins engine allowing every broke hill rod with a 520 credit score a new truck. If all that isn’t bad enough, they’re owned by Fiat…

I was gonna say, what do you see more of in the oilfield, the blue oval. Countless 150s and 250s with the 5.4 with well over 300k on them

I don't know if it is the same way but I would expect it to be. Chevy had only a few out in the field and dodge fell apart really fast. Ford was the only thing that lasted without many issues. They gave me. Dodge when I first started and it had a front wheel almost fall off. Had told them never again will I drive a junk dodge.

When I did 3rd party work for big blue we did everything from cement to frac to just moving pickups around. It was like 70% Ford and 15/15 split between Chevy and Dodge. Before I left in 2018 all the new pickups at the OH/NY yard were Ford

What year? I'm assuming it's a HEUI engine when you said they replaced the HPOP. Cam sensors were notorious for going bad with no warning in many IH mid-range engines with symptoms ranging from no-start to high speed miss.

Cascadia with the DD15/DT12 will always be my choice.

Early 70s that happened. That just led to big blocks with a 180hp. It didn't kill the polar bears any less or more and didn't lead to any less ice melting

Meh. When I was in the oilfield, all we had were chevys. The Fords had fallen apart too quickly somehow, and those 3v 5.4s were the company's death-knell; my employer wouldn't touch them anymore after that. 2500HDs fit the replacement bill nicely for the light trucks.
