I have ran into many happy lease drivers too. But i can not discount all the complaints as sorry drivers. Most of those drivers that go to lease where good successful drivers at company before. maybe sometimes seeing eye to eye with dispatcher helps. We all know if they do not have good relationship, sometimes the management can screw the worker. Example the driver that gets dedicated often gets steady pay. If you do not have good relationship, you might get screwed sometimes, that does not make it right. I refuse to believe every driver that left lease program is screw up, and thats the only reason he did not do well. DISPATCH, LOADPLANNER, MANAGEMENT IS ALWAYS JUST AND PERFECT?

but you said you support your hubby.....then do it!!!! hes a truck driver apparently theres no such thing as a god send company. if you want him home all the time then get him out of a truck.....thats the nature of the beast....ive been home almost every weekend the past 10 yrs....times aint good im leaving a corporate monster to go back on the road...my wife not to thrilled but she understands that things have to be done...she will adjust in time...ive researched alot of companies the past 3 months...JCT i have found to be one of the best to go with when it comes to lease options....and if all must know my corporate monster...its UPS they bought the company i worked for and i do not like working for them...so if you think what you hear about good jobs yeah the pay might be good...but not worth its weight if stressed, unhappy, or down right getting treated like ####....since they took over...my pay short all time and always looking to fire you...so let your husband be happy as long as he provides for you and the kids then let him be you will adjust...just support him.

Got a qualcomm in your truck? it will tell the truth on you when the shiznit hits the fan. those bills without a timestamp will have a sworn affidavit as to when you left on your day in court. Fuel receipts are kept not just in your truck, but also at your company, and at the vendor. Scales will note your passing.

If you lie, and kill someone, or damage lots of property, be prepared...your chickens will come home to roost.

Run legal, run safe. It's just like the military, most of the rules are asenine, but the only way to cover your ### is to follow them. To the letter.

NOT ONLY HAS HE NOT BEEN DRIVEING FOR VERY LONG BUT HE MUST HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE MILITARY FOR VERY LONG EITHER, I SPENT 20+ YRS IN THE ARMY AND THEY DONT PLAY BY THE RULES ALL THE TIME EITHER

that what i have always said if u wanna make a living u better forget about a legal log book bc u will not make any more i know i ran legal werner paperless log and if it wasnt for being on deciated run i would have made now money but i was deciated congra so drop and hook and back to the main plant

Run legal log it legal with all the cameras on the freeways, wieght stations qualcom satilite if any major accidents happen thoose couple of hundred of dollars you made will be the last thing you will worry about.I cant believe im hearing all this right over the internet.wow we do mess things up for ourselfs.please if you have to run illegal to make decent money,to make your truck payment,and pay for your own healthcare,and taxes at the end of the year than tell you boss to give you a raise, or get the hell out of the trucking industry.you are suppose to be a professional truck driver, and protect the motoring public, not put thier lives in danger.Its called GREED.

If you have to work for a company and have to falsify logs to make money, you are working for the wrong employer. "Keep on trucking" is one thing but not at the expence of a huge fine. As for cutting back the driver who cannot legally complete the run, my answer is to find a company that pays hourly. Again, as for sitting at a truckstop without pay, find a company that pays hourly.

Today was a lot of driving but not any real work. Hooked up one hose at the customer and let it gravity feed into their tank. 379 miles and 12 hours of work from 0300 to 1500. Total gross $330.96

There is something better out there if you look for it.

It's like a miniature trial. It's done when civil suit is filed, big dollars at stake. There will be two attorneys at least and couple of investigators. Sometimes there is a cute little court stenographer, but nowadays, usually some pimply geek with a video camera.
For starters, the opposing side is going to know about half of the answers, even before they ask you a question.
They are going to start with your training and it better match your DAC and/or what you put in a long forgotten job application.
Then they are going to rip your log book to shreds if you ever "misentered" some numbers.
And when they catch you in a fib, you will see their fangs come out.
They will correlate fueling, everything to whats on your log.
And if you make a habit out of "Misentering", they will find it. You will be sitting there looking like a fat dumb pumpkin. It's been reported that the 'deponent<s>', that's the subject being questioned, have thrown up, voided their bowels, wet themselves etc, etc, etc.
Your employer?
He don't care his insurance is going to cover it. Just a cost of doing business. But everything is said and done, your statements will be typed up and a copy sent to the District Attorney for his use.
Think you can handle prison?
Especially if your marked as someone who killed a child in a accident?
Those cons have standards you know.

And yes, do work with your employer. Clean up when you meet the customer. Watch those back tires for smoke etc ...
But risk a prison term?
