I'll use context when you figure out how to put together a coherent sentence. "Don't be extra" doesn't cut it.
You clearly don't have the capacity to understand hyperbole and idiom in order to make a point.
Keep slavin' away, though, and arriving really early. Then come on here and wonder why truckers get no respect. If you don't respect your own time, why should anyone else respect it?

You're a truck driver. I'm a truck driver. We are both slaving. I don't wonder why truckers don't get respect. I don't care if I'm respected or not, especially by strangers. They don't matter. I'm just trying to make a living, and arriving early to deliveries helps me increase my chances to make a better livong. Every gets on here fussing about the lack of respect. It makes me laugh that so many truck drivers put themselves on this high pedestal. Every job has people who think that theirone of work is most important. It's funny to me.

Go ahead and get there 8 hrs. early if you want. The point was If I have an appt. at 8 a.m. and I show up at 7:45 am because I chose to stay at a truck stop and get a shower and breakfast in the morning am I considered late because you have an appt. at 9 a.m. and showed up the night before and are stinky with nappy hair wearing the same clothes for 3 days?

As I always say, they need us more than we need them. Stop playing their game. Their load my trailer, wasting my clock, my money. I have and will leave their facility with their load until payed for all of the above.
The game changed when we were all forced into having elogs.

The McLanes in Concord, NC is awesome.i used to love delivering there.

I’m glad I rarely go to grocery/food delivery places anymore.

I picked up a load of Plasma the other day. Reefer set on -35c. I was loaded in 9 minutes. Thats from when I opened the doors to when I was told to pull up and close the doors. 20 pallets.
I was unloaded the next day in 15 minutes....
So much less hassle with Pharma loads....
