they dont have camera, but roehl really sucks. go out there and find out for yourself and then make your own decision and let us know your feeling. go out for 2 weeks just to get 1 days at home. good luck and you can tell roehl they suck from me...

Lol... good luck not being a trk number anywhere these days.
As for 2 weeks out and 1 day home, if you let them do it they will.

My Fleet manager always asks me how long I want to be home...or when I will be available...never any problems...

and duh when you have 2k trucks the only way to track them is by what the number is...I have found mostly good people that work for Roehl...but as in anywhere there are exceptions...

My fleet manager knows my name not my truck number on many occasions. And I've been back and forth 2 wks at a time many times. If you want more time at home then theres something called the "Hometime fleet" thats what its there for. If theres this driver shortage amoung all companies out there then finding somewhere else to go to fit your needs its a easy fix, its not that hard unless you have violations or things working againest you. So no I dont believe the posts of crying drivers unhappy with a company "they chose to drive for"

Roehl has various fleets with different levels of hometime and pay. They aren't perfect and I have my issues with them, yet they are far from the worst company you can choose. You will never find what you are looking for until you figure out what you are looking for. Then you can look for a company that fits your needs. In this industry everything is a trade-off. If you want time at home, then your miles will suffer. If you want guaranteed hometime, then you might have to slipseat and drive to a terminal or drop yard that might be a couple of hours away. The point is that you have to decide what you are looking for and what sacrifices you will make.

One thing you have to keep in mind about trucking is their definition of a day. In this industry a day is a twenty four hour period, not a typical midnight to midnight day. I don't like it, but that is how this entire industry works.

2 weeks out and you got one day at home? Did you say anything? Did you complain? Did you just smile and say this sucks, I quit?

I've been out 2 weeks, got 2 days home. Been out 2 weeks, got 4 days home. Been out 3 weeks got 5 days home. Been out 3 weeks, got 4 days home. I asked for what I got. Are there FM's (dispatchers) who push you to stay out, YES. Are there those that are less pushy and let you have time, YES. They play a game and you play it too. Now if you quit because you only got one day at home, well that's more of an issue with you and not Roehl.

If you drive a truck then I can assume a few things.
    1. You are over the age of 21.
    2. You are an adult.
    3. Your parents are not responsible for you.

So with any carrier you have to fight for what you want. If that company doesn't work the way you like, then leave, but flaming them on a board because it wasn't right for you is just BS.
Now if they didn't pay you, ruined your DAC for no reason, etc. Items that are legitimate, then sure complain about it, but don't come on here with the weak argument that you only got 1 day off for two weeks out. That is weak and most Professional driver here, no matter what company or L/O, O/O, would complain and quit a company for such an argument. This is trucking not a 9 to 5 desk job.

And what sliding pay scale are you referring to?
