And I was always was told 700k b4 she gets sold not 500k. A lot of junk company trucks and soon enough to be replaced. Holiday wkend miles were slow for a lot of people that is also true. Your not the only one complaining about miles and loads. Some people.fresh out of school get brand new trucks but its the luck of the draw. As long as it doesn't have maintenance issues who cares. Probably better off with a apu, inverter, and not a bunch of BS sensors. Miles have decreased in my opinion is not BC to starve u on a empty promise, its BC orientation classes at 3 terminals 10 people each every week graduating. They need more loads to fulfill the demand of drivers. Plus flatbed needs to get back home or to a freight area the pull van loads as well. I could be wrong who knows. I have my gripes, still undecided where to go, probably get my one year until then just do my job best I can. Your right complaining to anyone is a lost cause BC it wont change anything. Maybe if u call marshfield I never have maybe change it. My FM in ellenwood is awesome you must not have him.

Somethings people should know about "nice trucks" or wanting to drive cool show trucks. A company with really nice big shiney trucks is not where you want to go. Because thats exactly where all the money goes, is the trucks.

Look at the pay for Western Distributers out of Colorado, yeah. Super nice rigs, look at the pay, you wont see .34cpm till 5-8 years of service with the company WHAT A JOKE! I made .34CPM when I solo'd out with May Trucking Co. in 2007 and thats a training company. These guys want 3 years exp. Pretty sad. Lesson to you new cats, shiney rigs aint all peaches in cream!

I've got 20 yrs in and the company I started with 2yrs ago gave me a truck with 800,000 miles on it. It was clean and ran so I didn't say anything. They are not going to set up a new driver with a tricked out show truck as they don't know you. I make the same per mile/load as the guys with brand new rigs. A truck gets you from point a to point b and back. that is all. If your worried about the size of your sleeper and all the toys then your sitting too much and not driving. I drove for 3 years in a truck with a 40 in flat top sleeper and didn't care. When I was in the sleeper I slept, the rest of the time I drove the friggen thing. My truck now has 970,000 and still runs fine. and i still make the same money as the guys that just got a brand new one.

To some people, driving a cool looking truck is more important than a pay raise. Although id only be willing to take the lower income if I was the owner of that truck but not as a company driver

If I buy a truck it'll have a flat top behind the cab. I love flat top sleepers. Gotta love the guys who graduate school and expect a 86" studio with fridge, microwave, and big screen TV lol

Hey I had 2 old trucks and I liked them both....hell my current truck with my current company has 369k on it and its an 07....I like it much more than my 2013 cascadia that I had with Roehl when I left....New trucks are nice...but they have new truck problems......as long as it makes me money without leaving me on the side of the road or in the shop for a couple days I am happy...cause thats all I ask...reliability...

Or another way of saying this is: The guy that just got a brand new truck makes the same money I do.:smt017 OK, for the same pay, I'll take the new truck.

Guess you could say it either way. My point is that you get paid the same no matter which you drive. If the truck is in good shape and is clean then does it really matter how many miles are on it? Besides, after a few hundred thousand miles you know the rig and what is wrong and not wrong with it and have gotten the problems fixed. With a brand new one you are in the shop getting stuff fixed on a constant basis until the truck is broken in. At least that has been my experience.

Yeah I worked for them a few years ago on reefer side when they first bought out Blume Farms, and they did only have 2 accounts Birchwood Foods and Kraft Pizzas. They fired all the Blume People and replaced them with pinheads.

I didn't expect a new truck. I just can't stand it when they lie to you. I was testing out to get my own truck in a back room at Gary IN. When I heard the class instructor tell the whole class" we are spoiled at Roehl . When our trucks hit 450,000 we trade them in for new ones" so just do sit there and make everyone believe the BS. I have been paying me dues and not been getting the miles. I have talked to my fleet manager. The terminal manager. I even went above his head. You know what that did pissed them off more, so I started getting crappier loads. They don't give a crap about new drivers. That's why they just Keep hiring more. So geniuses what else should I do except find a new job.
