I love the Pete ! Once when I did driver training I took the Duel movie into work and classified it as " driver training " .......the guys loved it ! I had A 352 but the wheel base was much shorter than the movie truck and bob-tail would change 2 lanes if you hit A good sized bridge expansion joint. 318 Detroit , Spicer SST 5x4......air , not 2 sticks . I would not recommend it. On the intemperate language issue , it is always interesting to observe the bravado , tough-guy act being performed from A very safe distance. We had A mouthy little weasel that hid behind A plexiglass window with A hole in it to converse through. It was A steel warehouse and the guy had A yellow line painted on the floor in front of his hidey hole that you were " forbidden " to cross until his royal highness summoned you. One day A driver came in that was not A regular local, and wasn't aware of the " rules ". The weasel started on him about the line , at which point the guy reached through the hole and was doing A good job of pulling big mouths face through it. What A hoot ! The driver probably went around 300 lbs. , nothing on but bib overalls and his work boots, and was not impressed with the sacred line of demarcation. It took 2 crane operators to negotiate removing the weasels now very flat face from the hole. After that the hole had another circular barrier plate put in front of it . The smart mouth retired A little while after his " significant emotional event ". There is an Aesop's Fable about how easy it is to be brave when you're not in any danger ! Invertebrates abound !

Well, got the call for my return to walford.... Looks they made some big changes while I was gone, and added a couple of new accounts that look good, it'll be nice to do the regular runs between ia/mo/mn to east coast again on regular basis and make good money again, and I can put Prime into the "wtf was I thinkin' , man?" category.

Metallica........why do the original members miss Dave Mustaine so much these days?

In 1987.........My first driving job......20 years young, jumped in the seat of an old Harvester COE...Put in Master of Puppets in the tape deck.......Drivers were looking at me very strange they were.

Lol it's funny, I went to the Walcott truckers jamboree, and just about every "trucker" stereotype was present... Country music concert with people sitting on haybales for seats, a redneck Olympics, Harley exhibits. Etc so basically by that they assume we all listen to country, ride Harley's, go fishing or hunting, and watch nascar... , While because I listen to a variety of metal subgenres, other kinds of music like progressive rock and classical, I ridden atv's(the motocross type)most of my life until I traded in for the spyder, I watch both street and off-road motorcycle racing, and I cannot stand country music these days(it's all fake corporate garbage),etc. lol

I'll look in the music section of a truck stop store, and I'll see old cd's from bands like poison, motley Crüe, Bon Jovi, etc and labelled " metal". Huh? My definition would be bands like slayer, death angel, fates warning, early queensryche(mindcrime1 and earlier, and jump to the Todd Latorre era), black sabbath, and even the symphonic stuff like nightwish or Within Temptation.

as for Dave Mustaine, I'm not sure about the fans wanting him back in Metallica, and that was a long time ago. I saw him on that metal show, and he seemed to be a bit...... Giddy.
