Sure, pay for it yourself and get DACked for truck abandonment when you don't return the QC messages in 30 minutes.

Oh hush they are not the only company with idling policies, and I've stayed overnight in a hotel during a restart. There is no 30 min policy on QC messages Plus you work there long enough you learn how to disassemble the QC so when you say you are taking a nap you don't hear from them till you're awake.

The only time they ever put us up in a hotel is when the truck was broken, but we did have an apu, which a greater majority of their fleet has.

 

I am not picking. I have heard many stories about the companies and their non idle on a 34. Werner is a long way from my interest.

I owned my own truck in 2000 and kind of wish I had not got rid of it.

Apu's are the way of the future.

 

Before the apu we averaged 5-6 mpg after 7-8 mpg and we used the apu alot, pretty much if we were stopped cause it auto turned on.
