We have a lot of KWs, too, but I'm not impressed with the control layout or the quality control in them despite how nice they seem (and ours are spec'd really well). I actually like my International Pro Star way better than our KWs.

One good thing about all of our tractors is that they don't skimp on them.

Have you been in 947 kenworth? i drove that for awhile and man that thing is decked out good. seat even lowers when you get out, and then raises back up when you sit in it. thats pretty cool. I miss that truck. I like my single axle i got now because i dont have to share it, and can keep it clean, but man, that few inches it sits higher than the other truck is rough to climb in.

Dude, you're already IN at Dayton. You know one side of the company already. Get CDL privately, AND STAY AT DAYTON stone head lol.

They're definitely fancy, but I'm not a fan of the control layout in those wannabe large cars. I like the smart steering wheel buttons on the Internationals better because I'm used to the layout and don't have to reach or think about where the cruise or engine brake controls, etc are.

Also, many of our KWs have had electrical problems and emissions issues that our Internationals don't tend to have. I actually passed on waiting for a brand new KW to claim the truck I drive now. Don't get me wrong: some guys love them. They think I'm an idiot. To each his own!

By the way, @mickeyrat actually gave up a brand-new International in favor of that KW you're talking about.

He's just itching to drive ASAP and doesn't quite yet understand how good a job it is compared to others out there. I totally get it.

I didn't even have any idea how good I was gonna have it when I got the job at Dayton. I thought most LTLs were essentially the same deal with different colored trucks, but have since realized I kinda hit the jackpot inadvertently!

I had a prostar when I first started at Dayton 3 months ago and gave it up for an older Kenworth. I like being able to stretch out in the KW and being able to lean the seat back if I want to take a nap(usually at TOL lmao). I will say though I have only drove KW’s and Pete’s since I have started driving so that could be a big reason on why I prefer the Kenworth.

Only complaint about our trucks is I wish they would stop skimping on the seats a little and get use some better ones like @Buckeye91 was talking about in the one kw he drove.
