Awesome. Dumbells work always have and always will. For super high rep work I love resistance bands so don't rule them out, not to mention you can change bands for different weight and also get attachment bars for them for curls. And using them for over the head skull crushers with bands is killer for your back arms!!!

If you do skateboarding, and Local, you don’t need all that. Trust me. I’m 64 and throwing chains like no tomorrow.

Strength training I keep it simple. I have no desire to be a bodybuilder. I like mobility, with strength. So squats, deadlifts, bench press, oh press, pull ups, and heavy walking lunges since I use my legs the most.
I'm too poor to afford health insurance, and I'm too old to start getting rich, so I better stay fit.Deere hunter, Carpenter Scotty, Walk Among Us and 1 other person Thank this. -
Nothing wrong with that and I hear you on the health insurance part! lol
I'm by far not a body builder nor into that. I was originally a power lifter. But I injured by back back when I was climbing trees rope and saddle and had an accident with a knot letting lose. That's what brought me into trucking and I'm trying to remain active. When I tend to quit going to the gym my back gets stiff and I start feeling 20 years older than I am.
It's cool to know there are others out there active and staying fit. I figured it would be a long shot, but there's actually more people than I was expecting. I'm hitting the road for the day, safe driving to you all! -
I swear by the jump rope, you can research workouts (jump rope dudes on YouTube is a good channel to get going), very handy for OTR trucking. I'm also a somewhat more built guy, 215. Easier on the knees than running in my opinion and I don't want a knee replacement at 60.. I always hear of runners getting knee replacements..

If you’re in the Fargo, NoDak area, you can park alongside Crunch Fitness to get a good workout in.
Park on the side street directly to the west and go get your work out on. You can also grab a few things from Walmart right there as well. Or park by the Walmart Tire and Lube and walk from there.
I usually hit the gym there when I get off work daily.

Big Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
I cooked my own meals in my truck… And a lot of times I will do a one to 2 mile walk, depending on where I’m at

I’m 56 , been driving 30 years, I try and workout three times a week at a minimum. I carry a set of dumbbells, a kettlebell, a jump rope, an X3 workout out system.
People like to make excuses why they can’t exercise on the road, some days I drive 650 miles plus and can still find the time to knockout a workout.Lennythedriver and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
I don’t bother with any resistance training out on the road unless there’s the occasional planet fitness stop, but I don’t do that very often now. Going for a walk or jog though is often a possibility. Every day isn’t realistic but a few times a week is. Being a naturally restless type I’m actually better about that than I am about keeping garbage out of my mouth.
