Retreads/caps are are not regrooved tires. Those are totally different processes.

I'd rather not have any kind of reworked tire on the steer axle

TravR1 and Last Time Around Thank this.

You don't know what you don't know. You didn't know what the initials COE were either until you read it somewhere yourself.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Not just silly. Down right dangerous. That is what these cheap, greedy-assed companies are doing nowadays. They could give one #### about a driver's safety and worst yet the PUBLIC's safety ! All about hording as many pennies humanly possible. They are pathologically, greedy addicts! Sadistically greedy.

That;s frightening ! Where ya at here in TN ?

Talk about frightening. I'm a new driver. Just started driving cement mixers 2 weeks ago. No big truck experience. The very first load in a mixer I hauled was on a serious roller-coaster cow path up to Nolensville (up RT 41). Truly frightening for the first time !! Had a death grip on the steering wheel and prayed the whole way I didn't loose my brakes !

    I'm ok now. :D

My arms were shaking after I finally got pulled over. I was lucky when I got my hazards on and started swerving a little side-to-side in my lane and the lane to my left a little, the 4-wheelers backed off and gave me space. My tire debris didn't hit anyone that I saw. Interestingly, a truck still decided to pass me on my right. It was a 4-lane freeway, and I was in the second from the right. He was on my right, so maybe he didn't realize I blew a steer. There was no incident so whatever.

I waited 8 hours for those disorganized Ontario Petro turds to figure out how to get out to me and change my tire. I got a complementary meatball sandwich for my wait which subsequently caused me a lot of stomach discomfort.

I have no idea how it happened. The older guys put me at ease with their comments. It's a rare ordeal and not a big deal I guess. And with power steering, we are more advantaged than in the past before power steering. Still not a desirable thing to have happen, definitely.
