Steer tires on a truck different sizes

    The company is too cheap to care about their trucks and the safety of their drivers. Get the heck out of there and find a better job.

    On the steer axle. One from Thailand, the other China. Different sizes, treads, I shake my head! And they look at me like I'm crazy. No one else has said anything to them. Guess I won't be here much longer ;-)

    If they are retreads on the steer, I wouldn't drive it no only is it illegal its extreamly dangerous. Also different sizes and dangerous as well. Different brands while not recommended are ok

    Just put the taller tire on the passenger side.


    That way you'll offset the crown in the road. :D

    Thats not accurate, It is illegal to run recaps on the steer axle

    Only on passenger carrying vehicles. You can run caps on a truck steer axle but you can’t regroove steer tires.
