I was able to get one more in. 29771 total miles, 13% DH, 2.41 all miles, 71,748 total revenue.
I’m getting a good start to October, I’ll have 15k in revenue by Tuesday morning when everything booked right now is delivered. Could be better but I had to get my KC guy home to take a kid to the doctor.

This month has been pretty strong. One of my guys got married and had 12 days off, the other guy was down for a week while I did some truck and trailer repairs. Even with all the down time, I’m at 65,550 revenue through Tuesday morning. My truck is where the money is at. Since adding the Air Dog system, I’ve only had one fill below 9mpg, 8.87, going across 68 and 79 both ways, PA to WV and back. And, 29,170 revenue on my truck alone. I’m planning on taking some time off too at the end of next week or first week November. I’ve been staying out longer lately to make up for the other trucks. Rates lately are even better than in 2018, but I don’t think it will last much longer with winter coming up.

Could you show before and after mileage from the air dog. Also will you be adding the air dog to your other trucks. Do you think it made the engine run better or smoother or any other claims they make. Just your opinion of the system.

Probably not on those. I’m planning on trading them about 500k, only 200k miles away, on a new truck I would.
I run the same lanes and weights a lot. I’ve gained 2-3 tenths. I get less vibration at low rpm climbing a hill. Overall quietness or smoothness I haven’t noticed, just at low rpm to crest a hill. It works though. Joel Morrow made a lot posts about it when he put it on his test truck that explains in detail what it does and the long term benefits for the fuel system, in the 9+ mpg Facebook group. They’re going to run tests on Joel’s truck on the 29th at a university lab in OH to show on paper the difference it makes. My DEF has also gone down another 10% or so. 225 mpg to 248 mpg.

What’s booked now will carry me through Friday and anything else will go on next month. 74700 total revenue. One truck was down for a week and one was down for 12 days for his wedding and honeymoon. It could have been an almost 90k month for sure. 2.90 all miles. My truck was the money maker at 32,270 revenue.

Did you use merge transit to make that 31k?

i still use Merge. However, I still control what the trucks do. I send my rep several loads I’m interested in and what my range on the rate is. He’ll call on them and do all the back office stuff to dispatch them on the trucks. Merge can be as hands on or hands off as you want them to be. I prefer the more hands off approach. My rep has been with me long enough though that he knows what I’m wanting. It works out really well once your rep understands what you want. I run the same lanes repeatedly and don’t chase the highest rate on the board. I hit the Northeast and New England every week on each of the trucks.

    Thanks for the info.
If you could go back would you put the other drivers on your authority right away? What is the name of that hiring agency you use.

Yes. I should have done it in the first place. I was trying to be conservative, but ended up losing a lot of money that way. I used TenStreet, they have a pay as you go program for small fleets. I’m satisfied with it.

ready2truck, nikmirbre and dwells40 Thank this.
