One could consider finding a driver for your truck so you can be 100% on top of things. Then bump up to 4 or 5. I still think he’ll need fired but things take time in this market.

Everything is booked to end the month. This one was my best yet. 80,150.00 revenue, 2.90/mile on all miles, 12.7% DH. I got both of them home on the 23rd through today. Even with the holiday, rates were down only slightly, and I was able to get good revenue on all the trucks this time.

The Volvo I have has a Carrier APU on it. The driver likes it, but I’ve found the Achilles heel of that APU, the fan shroud. It keeps breaking, and when it does, it hits the main drive belt and breaks it. It broke again last night. I’ve told both places to just take it off, but they keep putting it back on. I’m going to try a third time now, told them when they look in there and if that’s what’s really wrong, to just remove it.

My final IFTA for 2020 came in, 9.25 mpg. 124k total miles, 13% DH, total mpg for the year was 9.11. In this report 1501 is the 2015 turd Volvo and 1601 is the 2016 Freightliner with Cummins. This quarter on 1601 reflects a full quarter after I changed the engine and transmission parameters, so it can’t be hot rodded, last quarter was 6.4.
basedinMN_ Thanks this.
