I haul for TQL and Coyote once or twice a week between the two. Otherwise I stick to one of 3 of my regular brokers. Between these 3 I make my money and use TQL and Coyote the most as a reposition to get me into an area one of my three regulars serves. By the end of a month I haul for 5 or 6 brokerages. I load with the same people a lot.
Had pretty good luck with TQL? I pull a flatbed and am just now getting my authority. I have gone back and forth on getting my own numbers. Sometimes the load boards have some great looking loads in my area, and other times, I wonder what in the heck I was thinking to try this. My daughter is just now getting her broker's license so I am hoping that will help some.
I haven’t had any issues. I wish they worked more like Coyote where you have a dedicated rep you deal with on all issues. At TQL you’ll talk to several different people from the time you book it until you deliver. As a result, there is some miscommunication and wasted time. It still works though. I prefer Coyote, CHRob, Allen Lund, or Choptank over TQL because of the way they communicate internally.
I She's wanting to start a small firm to handle some local freight for me and a few others in the near future. A friend of mine from high school has a growing company and she will move his freight for him. Starting small but a lot of potential if she works hard.
I have the driver dispatched on his first run. Northwest AR to NJ. Big money run to start him off, picks tomorrow afternoon and delivers first thing Saturday.
