That's good just don't want you to get burned especially after your experience with your attempt adding a driver and all

I had a little over 40k in there after buying the trailer and getting started. Enough to cover me for 2.5 months of running. I haven’t factored a load yet.

Had a guy back into my trailer tonight and put a hole through the skin. It was just a straight line back. I sealed it up with some liquid cement type stuff so water doesn’t get in there and I’ll have to get it fixed when I’m back in Arkansas. Should be in around the end of the week and get that knocked out. Landstar says they’ll reimburse, just send them the receipt.

This is the stuff I used. Loves had it in the store and now that it’s dried, looks like it works pretty good.

That stuff is awesome. I've used it around the house and on my aluminum boat. Works great.

So this month so far, total hub miles divided by total gallons is 9.88 mpg. Last month was so-so at only 8.5. I had a higher percentage of DH last month too. It seems the more DH I have the lower my MPG is. I haven’t many empty miles this month. If I look at all my gross weights and average it out, I’d say 71-72k. I’m loaded down most of the time with a light one here and there. Arkansas to the NE or SE, to Midwest or middle of the country, and back to Arkansas.

That's really good mileage. Wonder why more dead heading lowers your mpg? I would think it would raise it, but I don't know nothing. Lol

Deadheading could not lower mpg, it must have been tough loaded miles in between DH. This mpg over 9 mpg is unattainable for Cummins ISX I have, even if I were to run bobtail all the time. I've been able to stay above 7 mpg this summer and I am all ecstatic about it.

Especially with the heavy weights the op is pulling, that's awesome mpg - even to the point that it's hard to believe. I need to scroll up to see what engine it is....maybe an eye opener.
My all time mpg is 6.37. I don't want to know how much money could have been saved in the course of 4.5 years since I've had this truck.

Apologies for not remembering, what is your truck?

With my ‘99 GMC Suburban with a 454 I get 11 mpg bare and a little over 8 with a loaded 14 foot cargo trailer.
