Ask and open ended question like that in a trucker's forum and you'll get every opinion under the sun, and then some.
What is you want to accomplish?
What is most important to you? Home time? pay? lease opportunity? newer truck? Inverters? APU?
There is a lot to your question. -
All of what u said. Esp apu

You'll have to ask Central and Millis about the APUs. Stevens has all their trucks equipped with inverters and APUs. As for age, I think the last of the 2008's are about gone. Everything is newer.
Home time for all OTR training companies is about the same: one day off for each week out, 5-6 weeks between home time stints.
Pay will be roughly the same.
Personally, I'd recommend Stevens. But I work there, so I'm prejudice. -
Millis doesn't have a lease program, almost all the truckers are less than 5 years old, they are phasing out what is left of the 06 models. Only a handful have apu but they all have bunk heaters. If you go to the site it has a list of the pay, they have per diem, non per diem, practical and HHG pay so you have to look at the combination that is right for you, also has the home time on there its basically 36hrs for every one week out. You can have an inverter but you they have to install it, and it has to meet their specs.

Don't let other drivers make your career decisions. You will most likely be let down.
Decide for yourself which company best suits your needs and go from there. There are a lot of other companies out there besides those three also so be sure to do your homework thoroughly. Personally I would aim for the companies that aren't spending millions in advertising to get you to work for them. Also companies that aren't advertising have lower turnover rates. Lower turnover rates just may mean drivers are happy there and that they are worth working for.
Just thought I would mention this cause a lot of students think they are limited to the top 5 companies or the ones that send recruiters to their schools. There are currently over 450,000 trucking companies in the US and they all need drivers. Look hard enough and you just may find a pretty interesting gig like driving an armored semi truck for Western or hauling Kenny Chesney's stage set for Upstage, or maybe even hauling a NASCAR team around. Think outside the box, don't be a sheep! (not calling you a sheep just a reference)
Good luck!
celticwolf, jake3015 and Nycmex77 Thank this.
