Just a heads up for anybody checking out the company sponsored schools; you now need an address in Texas to apply even though their website doesn't state this.

I read somewhere earlier today that if you don't have a Texas address, they would set you up with a temporary one for the time being, and then you could transfer it back to your old one at a later date.

I believe i read that you get a letter from the hotel they put you in stating that is your address.
I think it has something to do with a specific Texas law, not real sure.
Their policy may have recently changed tho.. -

YOu only need to get the Texas DL if your going to their CDL training. If you already have a CDL it dosent matter what state it is from. My friends are going there next week and they are from Florida like me and they both ust got their Florida CDLs and Stevens told them that that is all they need. YOu only need to get a Texas DL if you come to Stevens and dont have a CDL yet. As for me I am going to TransAm in Dallas next week and allI need is my Florida CDL.

Stevens used to do that. You can still come to work for stevens you just have to go to school elsewere. Stevens school now only accepts residents of texas that have been residents for 6 months or more.
