Stevens will make that decision for you very easy, as the APU's are NOT saving them the money they expected them too. So the scuttle butt is that they will no longer be equipping every truck with an APU. Have not verified this tid bit yet.

replicator food tastes horrible right now, kinda like diesel. Need to work the bugs out of it.

Had to stand my ground today with my DM and Dispatch, and produce, on this load, yes I could make the 600 miles using up over 10 hours of drive time, then set in a dock for 3 to 5 hours, live unload at a union warehouse, with no extortion pay, (lumper fee), and my 14 would be up. Can't drive after 14 hours. They did not see the problem, I would just be in Chicago, with no place to park, and past my 14.

Took half a day to get them to see the problem, and a call to safety. amazing how fast I was repowered off the load after that call.

I'm living a charmed life at the moment.
Traded my late Los Lunas load for one that took me to Denver. They took the load early, got to the Tomahawk to sleep this morning (drove all night) and the temp was good. didn't have to idle.
Then headed out at noonthirty for the meat patch and whaddyaknow! My load was ready when I got there! Figured I'd drop the trailer and have to wait for saturday's DLT, but there it was!
So off to Oakland and hopefully catch a northbound load from there to get me home (finally!)

Hope you get home soon, seems like getting you home is just as bad as me getting a load home. Us Westerners just have to ride harder and longer.

I am just returning to trucking after taking a early retirement:biggrin_255: from Qwest Communications(or Q-worst here in AZ):biggrin_25513:. I have followed your thread for a couple of weeks now and now have no worrys about my choice. I loved driving before, my family hated it. Now my boys are grown, I'm widowed so I can take time of where i'd like. Got my Army and Qwest retirements. And am relocating to PHX. But if a company can get you home to Wyoming, then I'm not worried about Avondale, AZ.
Stay safe and pray for our Country and Troops!

Welcome, and Avondale AZ, no problem, Nabisco is right down the street, as one delivery. We also run produce loads thru all the time. So no problems on paper getting you home. In reality, who knows, seems like they keep you away from home. I80 is a major route, but I rarely get any loads that run up there. Even when I request them.
